Job summary

Our Clients in Makati City is seeking an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join the External Audit team. The role focuses on engagement management, team supervision, and client coordination for external audit engagements.

You will work on external audits and may support international accounts, gaining exposure to global clients and practices, with an on-site schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum of 4 years of external audit experience.
• CPA and Non-CPA candidates are welcome to apply.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior audit professionals.
• Strong understanding of accounting and auditing principles.
• International audit experience is an advantage but not required.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise external audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review audit working papers, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
• Perform and review audit procedures for complex and high-risk accounts.
• Identify audit risks, financial reporting issues, and internal control deficiencies.
• Supervise, coach, and provide technical guidance to audit associates.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain audit requirements and resolve audit queries.
• Monitor engagement progress, timelines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Discuss audit findings and recommendations with clients, managers, and engagement leaders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards and internal quality requirements.
