Experienced Associate - Audit at Digital Planners Corporation

Work Setup: Remote

Work Shift: Morning Shift, AU Timezone | Monday to Friday

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Experienced Audit Associate to join our auditing team on a 6-month independent contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting audits with precision, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and delivering high-quality financial insights. The role requires effective communication with both the engagement team and clients to ensure a smooth audit process. The candidate should demonstrate a strong understanding of audit methodologies, industry standards, and systems. Productively adheres to the work plan schedule and completes sections with an acceptable number of work paper comments. This role reports to the Audit Manager and others as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the audit team and Audit Manager in ensuring that all audit tasks are delivered with efficiency and quality.
• Manage client expectations, demonstrating knowledge of their business, industry, systems, and company values.
• Provide timely, high-quality client service that exceeds expectations.
• Execute and deliver on various external audit client engagements effectively and methodically.
• Build successful client relationships, demonstrating a positive attitude toward challenges and the agility to multitask effectively.
• Research complex audit technical issues and act as a trusted advisor to clients.
• Address client concerns and elevate issues as necessary.
• Ensure an efficient flow of information between the client and the audit team.
• Assist the Finance Manager in budget preparation and support senior in tracking budget and actual hours for audits.
• Collaborate with team to improve results, meet deadlines and expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• CPA license required.
• Continuous 2-3 years of experience in audit or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience preparing annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and draft engagement letters and reports to management.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and auditing tasks.
• Experience planning, executing, and completing audit procedures, including basic and complex audit sections.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work under high-pressure environments.
• Exceptional client relationship skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Australian methodologies is a plus.
• CaseWare experience preferred.
• Additional certifications or specialized training in auditing or accounting are a plus.

Internet Requirements

• Minimum stable internet connection of 20 Mbps upload / 10 Mbps download, latency under 30 ms.
• Reliable backup power source in case of interruptions.
