Jobgether is seeking a UI/UX Director based in Mexico to lead a multidisciplinary team and elevate the quality of sophisticated web and e-commerce experiences. You will bridge creative vision, user experience, and front-end execution, shaping design systems, accessibility, and mobile-first thinking.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of digital design experience, agency-style leadership, executive design exposure.
• Expert UI design with front-end basics (HTML, CSS, JS) and modern frameworks.
• Advanced Figma proficiency including prototyping, variables, design tokens.
• Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Adobe Commerce.
• Deep UX principles, research, IA, responsive/mobile-first, WCAG.
• Data-informed design strategy and opportunity identification.
• Operational and financial acumen: capacity planning, forecasting, budgets.
• Excellent storytelling, presentation, and negotiation with clients.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and mentor teams.
• Willingness to experiment with AI tools and rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Set creative and technical direction for UI/UX initiatives balancing visuals with usability.
• Lead mobile-first design across websites, apps, and omnichannel experiences.
• Oversee design systems, tokens, and handoffs across projects and clients.
• Provide design leadership for complex e-commerce initiatives on Shopify and Adobe Commerce.
• Maintain high standards for visual consistency and WCAG accessibility.
• Use data and insights to guide design strategy and business impact.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools to accelerate prototyping and workflows.
• Manage and mentor UX/UI designers and foster autonomy and collaboration.
• Own resource allocation, estimation, capacity planning, and delivery coordination.
• Partner with PMs to monitor budgets and improve processes.
• Lead client discussions, executive pitches, and new business proposals.
• Translate business objectives into digital strategies for senior stakeholders.
• Advocate human-centered design and measurable outcomes.
