Job summary

Dusit Thani Hotel in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee quality, operations, and staff in the culinary division. You will collaborate with senior chefs to control costs, maintain high standards, and drive guest satisfaction.

The role requires a strong background in kitchen management, HACCP, English communication, and proficiency with standard computer software. This is a full-time onsite position in Laguna, Philippines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a well known culinary institution.
• 7–10 years of experience in kitchens covering all aspects of cooking.
• Exposure to exotic cuisines will be a strong asset.
• Solid managerial experience in kitchen operations and people management.
• Fully aware of HACCP principles.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the quality of all food prepared in the kitchen.
• Coordinate with Chef de Cuisine on purchasing, waste control, and product quality.
• Assign duties to Sous Chefs and ensure execution of orders as specified.
• Discuss pricing and menu adjustments with Executive Chef and Director of F&B.
• Study menu engineering and sales data to amend offerings per guest preferences.
• Maintain hygiene, discipline, and energy efficiency in kitchen operations.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and prevent damages or losses.
• Lead hiring, orientation, and staff development with senior chefs.
