Job summary

Merck Group is seeking a SharePoint Developer to customize and extend intranet pages, forms, and web parts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. You will work within branding guidelines and support governance and change management across projects.

The role requires 2–5 years in SharePoint development, proficiency with the Power Platform, and strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
• 2-5 years of experience in SharePoint Development.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-premises, and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Customize, develop and implement intranet pages, views, forms, lists, libraries, visuals/graphics, web parts, and other components.
• Design solutions based on branding and guidelines; govern content management and change management.

Your Role

• Able to work autonomously and take over responsibility to customize, develop and implement intranet pages, views, forms, lists, libraries, visuals/graphic materials, web parts, and other custom components to existing systems and integration of other applications with SharePoint.
• Able to design solutions based on existing branding and design guidelines and best practices around Content Management, User Adoption, Governance and Change Management
• Responsible for estimating work effort and achieving planned timelines by having a solution oriented and pro-active and hands-on working style, having an analytical skill can be helpful.
• Participate in project discussions; provide recommendations; implement solutions; and support to end users, attend internal customer meetings as required.
• Adept with MS Office products as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Teams
• Business-fluent English skills

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.

• Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.

• Proficiency in SharePoint development, including creating custom solutions, workflows, and forms.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, site collections, and permissions.
• Ability to design and implement SharePoint solutions that meet specific business requirements.
• Knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-premises, and hybrid environments.
• Experience with SharePoint integration with other systems and data sources.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
• Knowledge in Power Platform such as PowerApps, Automate, BI is an advantage
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
