Overview
As a SharePoint Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining applications. You will interact directly with solution owners, solution architects, and other stakeholders to gather requirements for change or service requests, delivering high-quality results. Your leadership will involve participating in business development, championing innovation, and continuously seeking improvement.
Responsibilities
- Follow best practices in the delivery of all application activities, such as responding to incidents, change requests, and environmental changes.
- Ensure application availability for users and provide production support when required.
- Work closely with application owners to gather requirements and deliver results.
- Provide accurate estimates, test, and deploy solutions across all environments.
- Develop and maintain system documentation.
- Adhere to the European time zone and calendar, including public holidays.
- Comfortably communicate with onshore clients to gather requirements.
- Ensure high-quality standards are met and maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Client-side customization experience: JavaScript Object Model (JSOM), SharePoint REST Service, SharePoint Client-side Rendering (CSR), Custom Workflows using SharePoint Designer (2010 and 2013 platforms), HTML, CSS, jQuery, and vanilla JavaScript. Experience with Bootstrap and AngularJS is a plus.
- SharePoint Online experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly as they relate to the promotion and deployment of routine fixes and major releases into a production environment.
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
- Excellent oral, written, and effective communication skills. Comfortable with direct client interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and articulate issues, approaches, and solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple issues/fixes concurrently.
- Experience working in a mature, process-oriented, structured environment that includes change management, incident ticketing, and disaster recovery preparedness.
- Knowledge of Miro or Visio for creating diagrams.
- Experience in customizing SharePoint site or hub navigation and applying styling and theming.
- Experience publishing and consuming web services or APIs using XML and/or JSON.
- Experience with application lifecycle management using tools such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps, SQL Management Studio, and GitHub.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and effective, respectful communication; actively listens, contributes constructively, and values diverse opinions.
