Job summary

Twoconnect is seeking a Take-Off Estimator (Fire Protection) to prepare accurate material and labour quantity take-offs for passive fire protection and firestopping projects.

You will interpret construction drawings and tender documents, identify scope discrepancies, maintain measurement records, and support estimating and pre-construction teams on timely tender submissions, with a preference for UK construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience performing quantity take-offs, estimating support, or similar construction role.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Experience calculating material and labour quantities and preparing take-off schedules or reports.
• Proficiency in digital take-off/estimating software and Excel; strong numerical/analytical skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Experience with UK construction projects is strongly preferred; knowledge of UK measurement practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Complete accurate quantity take-offs for passive fire protection and firestopping projects, including material and labour requirements.
• Prepare take-off schedules, measurement sheets, material schedules, and quantity reports to support estimating activities.
• Assist Estimators with tender preparation, pricing information, labour allowances, and supporting documentation.
• Identify drawing discrepancies, omissions, scope gaps, and unclear requirements, raising technical queries where necessary.
• Update quantities, schedules, and measurement records based on drawing revisions, addenda, and scope changes.
• Coordinate with Estimating and Pre-Construction teams to validate quantities and meet tender deadlines.

• Experience with UK construction projects is strongly preferred; passive fire protection, firestopping, specialist subcontracting, and knowledge of UK measurement practices are advantageous.
