Job summary

ICICI Securities Limited is seeking a senior editor to edit and quality check equity research reports and investment publications. The role requires ensuring accuracy, clarity, consistency, and regulatory compliance while partnering closely with research analysts.

The candidate will oversee language, data presentation, and style guides, coordinating with publishing, compliance, and design teams to publish reports on tight deadlines in a fast-paced capital markets environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, finance, or economics.
• 12–15 years of experience in financial editing, equity research, financial journalism, investment banking, or capital markets.
• Strong understanding of equity markets, financial statements, valuation concepts, and investment terminology.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, with exceptional grammar and proofreading skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify factual inconsistencies and errors.
• Ability to understand complex financial and investment concepts and communicate them clearly.
• Strong ability to work under tight deadlines and high-pressure publishing cycles.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel; familiarity with financial research publishing platforms is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Edit and proofread equity research reports, initiation reports, result updates, sector reports, thematic reports, and investment notes.
• Review reports for grammar, language, structure, readability, consistency, and logical flow.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial terminology, company names, figures, tables, charts, estimates, and key data points.
• Work closely with equity research analysts to improve the presentation and communication of investment ideas without altering the underlying views or conclusions.
• Coordinate with research analysts, publishing teams, compliance, design, and other stakeholders to ensure timely publication of reports.
• Ensure reports adhere to applicable regulatory, compliance, and disclosure requirements.
• Maintain and update editorial style guides, templates, and standard terminology.
• Contribute to developing best practices and processes for improving research publication turnaround time and quality.
