Job summary

The Corporate Institute is seeking a senior Financial Research professional to cover technology companies in the enterprise software, vertical software, and payments spaces. You will build detailed financial models, generate differentiated theses, and contribute to live investment discussions with front-office teams.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in investment research, finance qualifications (MBA, CFA or CA), and strong modelling, valuation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of investment research experience.
• Strong grasp of business models in technology sectors (Enterprise Software, Vertical Software, and/or Payments).
• Hands-on financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Robust analytical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain detailed financial models that reflect drivers of each company.
• Track earnings, developments, news flow, and external research to identify key themes and inflection points, and synthesize into crisp investment memos.
• Benchmark companies against peers across financial and operational metrics.
• Engage directly with management teams, sell-side analysts, intermediaries, and sector experts to sharpen research and sector view.

What we’re looking for:

• A degree in finance or equivalent (MBA, CFA, or CA), with at least 8 years of investment research experience.
• Prior investment research experience in Enterprise Software, Vertical Software, and/or Payments with a strong grasp of the business models and industry dynamics of these sectors.
• Hands-on financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Robust analytical aptitude and sharp attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate investment views clearly and persuasively.
