Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Manila is seeking a Manager – EQ Cash Settlements – MNL to lead the equities settlements team, covering pre/post settlement and reconciliations, in a hybrid working environment.

You will supervise day-to-day operations, drive continuous improvements, coordinate with Front Office, Finance and Settlements, and ensure timely settlement of trades while managing risk and KRIs.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in operations.
• Knowledge of equities front-to-back flow is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across many stakeholders.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to implement change and drive process improvements.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for the Equities Settlements team across trade lifecycles.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and delivery of initiatives, improvements and regulatory changes.
• Coordinate communications with Front Office, Finance, Settlements and Static Data.
• Ensure client trades are allocated on Trade Date.
• Balance domestic and foreign equity positions daily.
• Oversee intersystem reconciliations and break capture processes.
• Manage escalation to leadership as needed to mitigate risk.
• Maintain and update supervisory procedures and controls.
• Apply sound judgment in operational situations to drive progress.
• Identify financial risk and ensure proper resolution within policy.
