Job summary

Coherent Philippines Pte Ltd is seeking an engineer to install, qualify, maintain and optimize laser assembly and test equipment in our Laguna facility. You will ensure reliability, performance and production readiness through proactive maintenance and data-driven improvements.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and support upgrades, automation projects and process enhancements to boost yield and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, maintain and optimize laser assembly and test equipment to ensure reliability and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Support equipment upgrades, automation projects and process improvements to enhance yield and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain equipment documentation, preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with quality, ESD, laser safety, cleanroom and EHS standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers and production personnel to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
