Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an Equipment Engineer I to assume ownership of maintaining and calibrating production equipment and related tools. You will oversee line support, machine performance, and coordinate service calls to ensure optimal manufacturing operations.

The role requires a BS in engineering or related technical field, 2-5 years' experience, and skills in MS Office, analytical thinking, and strong communication. Extended hours and shifting schedules may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years working experience in equipment engineering or related field.
• Ability to lead and coach people.
• Knowledge of MS Office suite and reporting tools.
• Understanding of maintenance standards, PM/calibration, buyoff and qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and calibrate production equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Oversee line support and machine performance.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble equipment per manuals and schematics.
• Coordinate service calls on production equipment and instruments.
• Collaborate with process engineers on equipment interactions.
• Review machine utilization data and implement improvements.
• Lead teams and mentor staff as required.
