To power the expansion of our EPM business line (Workday Adaptive Planning and Jedox) into Southeast Asia, we are looking for an EPMFunctional Consultant based in the Philippines .
About The Role
The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in financial or multidimensional modeling and the ability to bridge the gap between complex business needs and technical execution. As a Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of EPM solutions, maintaining a healthy balance between client-facing advisory (requirements gathering, functional consulting and training) and hands-on system configuration (implementation). Operating under the guidance of a Project Manager, you will work across both Workday Adaptive Planning and Jedox platforms to deliver high-impact solutions. This is a dynamic role where your technical expertise directly contributes to successful project go-lives and client transformation.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to understand their current planning processes and take a consultative approach to migrating legacy models into Workday Adaptive Planning or Jedox.
- Leverage your expertise to recommend the best solution based on the client’s requirements, budget, and time frame; with the flexibility to adapt the scope as additional needs are identified.
- Guide the customer through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and an understanding of the customer’s unique business requirements at all stages of the project.
- Build, configure, and troubleshoot complex EPM models, ensuring high data accuracy and system integrity.
- Maintain deep, up-to-date knowledge of features and functionality across both Workday Adaptive Planning and Jedox platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration between EPM solutions and external systems (ERP, Data Warehouse, HCM, BI, etc.).
- Apply hands-on experience with system integrations and API development to support complex implementation needs.
- Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to Workday Adaptive Planning or Jedox.
- Perform multiple tasks under limited direction, while regularly keeping the client, your project team and your Engagement Manager abreast of changes or progress related to the project..
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops to empower end-users and ensure long-term system adoption.
- Assist with pre-sales activities by attending sales calls and performing solution demos as a Workday Adaptive Planning and Jedox subject matter expert.
- Partner with Solutions Architects to review Statements of Work (SOWs) for accurate scoping, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Actively participate in update training and internal opportunities to share one’s skills and learnings with others within the organization.
- Bring project management experience within SaaS implementation environments.
Skills & Qualifications
- At least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, Economics, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience (such as CPA, ACCA, etc.) will also be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) implementation and solution design, specifically focusing on FP&A and Financial Consolidation solutions.
- Proven track record in implementing SaaS EPM solutions. Certification and specific experience with platforms such as Workday Adaptive Planning or Jedox are highly preferred; experience with Anaplan, Oracle EPM, SAC, CCH Tagetik, or Board is also valuable.
- Broad background in FP&A, Corporate Performance Management (CPM/EPM), BI, or ERP systems.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel (required), along with knowledge of SQL or experience with multidimensional modeling/OLAP cubes.
- Foundational knowledge of accounting, finance, consolidation, management reporting, planning and analysis, forecasting, and budgeting is essential.
- Understanding of process automation and enhancement using AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, and ChatGPT would be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a natural ability to troubleshoot technical system issues and maintain high data accuracy and integrity.
Other Requirements
- Prior experience in technology or business consulting is strongly preferred, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Prior functional consulting experience within a Big 4 firm (EY, PwC, KPMG, Deloitte), a GSI technology consulting firm (Accenture, etc.), or a specialized EPM partner is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required, along with the ability to lead discussions comfortably in both live and remote customer environments.
- Proven ability to manage client expectations and maintain professional relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strong capability in PowerPoint, with the ability to structure and deliver clear, professional presentations and training programs to end-users.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs in related subject matter expertise areas (e.g., Scrum training, solution design, development best practices).
- Strong, proven project management (Scrum Master, PMP, or equivalent experience) and leadership skills, with a track record of implementing large-scale, complex projects and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
