Job summary

CBRE Asia Pacific in the Philippines seeks a full-time Building Engineer to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. You will monitor system performance under limited supervision and utilize various trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineer required.
• 1–2 years’ experience as Building Engineer, Mall Engineer, or equivalent.
• Willing to be assigned in Mariveles, Bataan.
• Able to work Mondays to Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Complies with codes, regulations, and safety directives for building operations.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
• Oversees work by outside contractors and contractors for landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, cleaning.
• Performs repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency responses.
• Maintains maintenance records and reviews work orders.
• Prepares material estimates and orders supplies as needed.
• Maintains energy management to minimize operating costs.
• Maintains lighting systems, performs welding, carpentry, and locksmith tasks.
• Responds quickly to emergencies and supports additional teams as needed.

Job Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
• Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work includes landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbers, and cleaning.
• Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
• Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
• Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
• Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
• Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
• Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineer (Required)
• At least 1 to 2 years' experience as a Building Engineer, Mall Engineer, or any relevant experience
• Willing to be assigned in Mariveles, Bataan
• Amenable to work from Mondays to Saturdays
