Role Purpose
The Pricing Supervisor / Manager leads the Pricing Team within the Pricing, Sales & Solution Enablement function, delivering pricing support for global business pursuits and complex multi-country bids. The role owns the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of pricing deliverables, manages a team of Pricing Analysts and Team Leads across two regional pods, and serves as a senior pricing advisor to commercial and finance stakeholders.
This is a transformation-critical role. The function is currently transitioning from a workbook-based pricing operating model to a new digital platform that is actively being built. The Pricing Supervisor / Manager will play a leading role in bridging current tools, processes, and team structures into the new platform — surfacing pain points and process gaps, ensuring they are addressed in the platform design, and leading the team through parallel-run, adoption, and full cut-over. The successful candidate must be flexible, adaptable, and effective at leading people and processes through sustained change.
Key Responsibilities Summary
People Leadership & Team Enablement
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 8 across two regional pods (2 Team Leads + 6 Pricing Analysts), including performance reviews, twice-monthly 1:1s, onboarding, scheduling, and capacity planning.
- Monitor team performance, manage escalations through root cause analysis, and report performance at monthly team meetings.
- Run weekly team huddles to align on active deals, blockers, and support needs.
- Ensure timekeeping compliance and actively manage capacity risk, escalating where workload exceeds sustainable levels.
Pricing Operations & Delivery
- Manage the intake, triage, and assignment of pricing support requests based on deal complexity and team capacity.
- Provide hands‑on support for the most complex global pursuits — template setup, bid return preparation, and scenario modelling.
- Act as the senior point of escalation for stakeholder queries, concerns, and escalations.
- Ensure pricing deliverables are submitted accurately and on time across both pods.
Pricing Tools, Templates & Models
- Own the design, build, versioning, and release of pricing templates and models currently in use.
- Maintain monthly FX rate updates and apply standard burden, compensation, and allowance updates as the global profitability model evolves.
- Manage the enhancement pipeline and prepare release notes and stakeholder communications for each new version.
- Apply automation tooling and emerging technologies to improve team productivity and delivery quality.
Platform Transition & Change Leadership
- Serve as a key bridge between current pricing tools, processes, and team structure and the new digital platform under development.
- Identify pain points, process gaps, and operational risks in the current state and ensure these are surfaced, prioritised, and addressed within the new platform design.
- Provide pricing strategy and process input into platform development, including pursuit workflow, pricing logic, and process automation.
- Lead the team through platform adoption — including training, communication, and embedding new ways of working as responsibilities shift with the transition.
- Support parallel-run deployment, ensuring continuity of pricing delivery while the current tools and the new application operate side by side.
- Ensure the team continues to deliver agreed outcomes as roles and responsibilities evolve through the transition, and proactively manage change-related risks to team performance and morale.
- Remain flexible and adaptable, adjusting team priorities, processes, and ways of working in response to platform milestones and emerging business needs.
Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with senior commercial, finance, operational, and data analytics stakeholders to align pricing delivery with business priorities.
- Drive continuous refinement of savings models, profitability tooling, and connected dashboards in coordination with relevant owners.
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities across the pricing function.
