Job summary

San Miguel Corporation is seeking a compliance-focused professional to interpret environmental laws, design compliant processes, and implement programs that minimize environmental impact while safeguarding worker safety.

You will conduct audits, prepare permit applications, provide technical support for remediation projects, and lead training to ensure ongoing adherence to evolving regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and ensuring compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and policies
• Conducting environmental audits to identify areas of non-compliance and recommending corrective actions
• Developing, implementing, and managing environmental compliance programs
• Designing or modifying industrial processes to reduce pollution and waste
• Preparing environmental permit applications and compliance reports
• Providing technical support for environmental remediation projects and for legal actions
• Evaluating and monitoring progress towards environmental sustainability goals
• Leading training and workshops on environmental compliance issues
• Keeping up-to-date with new environmental laws and best practices in environmental compliance and sustainability
• Compliance to Occupational and Health standards. Designing and implementing safety systems and protocols to protect employees and the environment from potential hazards. They assess workplace environments for risks and create strategies to mitigate these risks while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Identify potential hazards in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Implement safety programs and training sessions for employees.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety protocols are integrated into all operations.
• Maintain safety records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and safety standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
• Advise management on safety policies and best practices.
