Job summary

NQX Philippines is seeking a Principal Technical Advisor & Enterprise Systems Architect to define enterprise architecture strategy while actively contributing to software development and engineering execution.

You will lead across architecture, software engineering, and emerging technologies, shaping scalable roadmaps, AI adoption, and governance while mentoring senior engineers and promoting best practices. This role blends strategic direction with hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Advanced degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Enterprise Architecture, or a related field.
Industry-recognized architecture, cloud, or enterprise technology certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints to support scalability, resilience, maintainability, and long-term objectives.
Establish architecture standards, engineering principles, and governance frameworks for enterprise delivery.
Evaluate debt, risks, and investments to support informed decisions.
Lead build-versus-buy assessments aligning with objectives.
Develop production-quality components for enterprise applications and platform capabilities.
Design and implement large-scale backend systems, integrations, and event-driven architectures.
Create POCs to evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches.
Establish coding standards and best practices to improve quality and delivery.
Lead enterprise AI integration strategy and governance for privacy, security, and compliance.
Assess AI technologies and recommend value-maximizing implementations.
Support generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and intelligent workflows.
Mentor architects and engineers through code/design reviews and coaching.
Promote engineering excellence and hands-on leadership.
Guide decision-making across complex programs and strategic initiatives.
Foster innovation, learning, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Translate technical concepts into executive roadmaps and business alignment.
Collaborate with leaders to align strategy with priorities.
Provide expert guidance during modernization and transformation initiatives.
