Job summary

Archipelago Philippines Ferries in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, seeks an Engineering Superintendent to lead ramp and vessel maintenance activities on-site. You will ensure maintenance readiness, secure parts for emergencies, and coordinate ramp repairs with field teams.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree (Naval Architect preferred) with at least 5 years in construction or related work, strong MS Office skills, and a licensed engineering certification with welding training.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; Naval Architect preferred or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Licensed Engineer, Naval or similar; welding certificates or training advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Focus on ramp-related engineering, ensuring maintenance and parts availability for emergency repairs.
• Coordinate manpower for ramp repairs; set work schedules and develop plans for ramp readiness.
• Supervise department field staff in ramp and/or vessel repairs as needed.

Job Description

This position is responsible for the engineering aspect of the department. The engineering superintendent focuses on the ramps-ensures maintenance, parts availability for emergency repairs, manpower coordination with regards to ramp repairs, sets work schedule and overall plans for ramp readiness. The engineering superintendent also handles the department field staff as needed in ramp and/or vessel repairs.

• Graduate of engineering course preferably Naval Architect or equivalent
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction industry or equivalent
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft office
• Licensed Engineer, Naval or similar types/ Certificates in welding jobs/training
