Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer skills.

• Fluency in English; local language advantageous.

About the role

The Isabelle Hotel is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our team in Naga City, Camarines Sur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all engineering systems and infrastructure throughout our hotel facilities. As Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical team, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring that all building systems operate at optimal efficiency. This position is fundamental to delivering the high standards of comfort and safety that our guests expect.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and manage the engineering and maintenance team, ensuring all staff adhere to safety protocols and operational standards

• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical building systems

• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify maintenance issues and implement timely solutions

• Prepare and manage the engineering department budget, including procurement of equipment and spare parts

• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and coordinate urgent repairs to minimise guest disruption

• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and staff performance

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to hotel operations

• Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialised maintenance and repair work

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and reduce operational costs

• Conduct safety training and drills with the engineering team to maintain a culture of workplace safety

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering maintenance or facility management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation systems

• Proven experience in managing and mentoring technical teams

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills

• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, building codes, and maintenance best practices

• Proficiency in maintenance management software and basic computer skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with team members, management, and external contractors

• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations

• Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in engineering or facility management are highly desirable

• Fluency in English and local language proficiency is advantageous
