Job summary

Hired Hub Ltd in Cebu is seeking an Engineering Supervisor (Engineering and Maintenance Manager) to lead all engineering and maintenance activities for an integrated poultry farm and toll packing dressing plant. The role focuses on reliability and safety of equipment with emphasis on industrial refrigeration systems to preserve the cold chain.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; a Philippine Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a strong advantage.
• Experience: 3–5 years in maintenance/engineering management within food processing or heavy industry. Mandatory hands-on experience with industrial refrigeration.
• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for farm equipment (ventilation, feed systems) and plant machinery (processing lines, packaging).
• Minimize equipment downtime through effective diagnostics and corrective actions.
• Ensure all maintenance complies with food safety standards like HACCP, GMP, and NMIS.
• Identify process improvements and manage automation or equipment upgrades to increase efficiency.
• Oversee CapEx projects from budgeting through commissioning.
• Ensure infrastructure meets local building codes and safety regulations in coordination with the Plant Manager.
• Manage all aspects of ammonia or Freon-based systems, including daily operations and troubleshooting.
• Supervise specialized contractors for refrigeration repairs and capital projects.
• Maintain strict compliance with safety and environmental protocols for refrigerant storage.
• Mentor and train the maintenance team on technical skills and safety protocols like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Manage the department budget and vendor relationships.
