OceanaGold is seeking an Engineer - Maintenance (Reliability - Mechanical) to design, develop, test, and oversee maintenance of mechanical systems to improve asset health in a mining environment. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and cost-effective maintenance planning.

The successful candidate will review maintenance strategies, schedule work through Pronto Xi CMMS, perform life-cycle analyses, and provide engineering support to production and projects teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years of work experience in the metal & mining industry.
• Experience in Asset reliability environment.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
• Professional Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Compare the pros and cons of alternative design options and develop an optimized design based on risk, reliability, and uncertainty analysis.
• Gather and analyse information to enable cost-effective maintenance resource allocation for safety and reliability.
• Review, plan and schedule all maintenance work through Pronto Xi CMMS.
• Ensure planned routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, and approved modifications are scheduled with minimal disruption.
• Perform life cycle analysis of equipment to determine effective usage.
• Establish technical design, selection, specification, modification and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments for mining operations and evaluate potential impacts.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Engineer - Maintenance (Reliability - Mechanical) to design, develop, test, and oversee the maintenance of mechanical system and devices to maintain and improve asset health. The role involves applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics to create a solution that improves efficiency, functionality, and safety in various applications. Investigate failures and generates and communicates solutions.

Key task and responsibilities:

• Compares the pros and cons of alternative design options and develops an optimized design alternative based on risk, reliability, and/or uncertainty analysis
• Gathers and analyses information to enable the cost-effective allocation of resources that are available for maintenance to provide the highest levels of safety and reliability of engineered systems and works
• Review, Plan and scheduling of all maintenance work through computerized maintenance management system-Pronto Xi, to ensure resources are prioritized in accordance with the maintenance strategy.
• Ensure planned routine maintenance, non-routine maintenance, breakdowns, approved modifications are scheduled to beundertaken with minimum disruption to the Process/Mining operation
• Performs life cycle analysis of equipment to determine length of effective usage of equipment or machine
• Establishes the technical design, selection, specification, modification and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to provide engineering design and support to production, maintenance and project teams
• Conduct risk assessments for mining operation, identifying, and evaluating potential risks and their impacts
• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way

Educational Background:

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering

Work Experience and Background:

• 3 years of work experience in the metal & mining industry
