OceanaGold Corporation in the Philippines seeks a qualified Mechanic - (UG Equipment - Mobile) to support mechanical maintenance on production equipment with minimal supervision to ensure availability, safety, and efficiency. Reports to Supervisor – Mechanical Maintenance (UG Mobile Equipment).

The role requires 3–4 years of UG mobile equipment experience (Sandvik, Normet, Volvo, Caterpillar), a mechanical trade background, good English communication, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Communication across all levels is essential.
• Proficiency in reading and writing English.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with UG mobile equipment preferred (Sandvik, Normet, Volvo, Caterpillar).
• Mechanical trade training is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Complete all documentation such as work orders and time sheets.
• Ensure adherence to Safety, Health, and Environment policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on hoses, tubing, piping, and fittings.
• Maintain clean working environment to prevent contamination.
• Record activities on equipment for future reference.
• Prepare Job Action Plan and Job Hazard Analysis when required.
• Communicate with team about tasks and risk assessments.
• Select fluids and lubricants per manufacturer specifications.

Job Description

Seeking a suitably qualified, and reliable Mechanic - (UG Equipment - Mobile) to support a full range of mechanical maintenance, repair, and service activities on production equipment with considerable independent judgment in deciding with minimal supervision to ensure equipment availability in a quality, cost-efficient, environmentally, and safe manner. The role will report to the Supervisor – Mechanical Maintenance (UG Mobile Equipment).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Complete all the necessary documentation such as work orders, and time sheets for future reference;
• Ensures compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment policies and procedures;
• Perform preventative maintenance of hoses, tubing, piping, and fittings by checking for deficiencies such as chafed hoses, bubbling, and leaks;
• Maintain a clean working environment to prevent contamination of the system;
• Uses Documentation and reference materials, and records activities on each piece of equipment for future reference;
• Prepare a Job Action Plan and Job Hazard Analysis if required;
• Communicate with others about the assigned task and discuss the outcome of the risk assessment; and
• Select types and grades of fluids and lubricants for the applications according to the manufacturer’s specifications and fluid capacity.

Qualifications

• Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way;
• At least a high school graduate and a mechanical trade diploma related to engine repairs (TESDA NCII) is an advantage
• Minimum 3-4 years' work experience with UG mobile equipment such as Sandvik, Normet, Volvo, and Caterpillar
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Able to read and write English at an acceptable standard.
• With a valid driver's license and/or mobile equipment operation.
• Can perform basic motor controls
• Had a work experience on HV cables, transformers, electric motors, MCCs, motor starters
