Job summary

GetGround Group is seeking a Payroll & HR Lifecycle Specialist for our Manila team. You will own payroll and the full employee lifecycle for around 50 staff across two entities, paid semi-monthly, with growing headcount.

This is a hands-on, single-contributor role focused on timely, accurate payroll and compliance. You will handle onboarding, hiring coordination, employee records in CharlieHR, and end-to-end offboarding while ensuring government remittances and tax filings are met on schedule.

Qualifications

• Three or more years running payroll in the Philippines end-to-end unsupervised.
• Strong knowledge of BIR withholding on compensation, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG and their remittance.
• Experience with online banking payroll upload (Metrobank MBOS or equivalent) and employer portals.
• Experience across the wider HR lifecycle: recruitment coordination, onboarding, records, offboarding and final pay.
• Must be highly accurate with numbers and deadlines; payroll must be correct and timely.
• Excellent written and spoken English; daily collaboration with UK colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll computations for two entities across semi-monthly cutoffs; manage adjustments, overtime, holidays, bonuses and deductions.
• Prepare payroll files for upload to MBOS and advise on crediting.
• Issue payslips and compute 13th month pay.
• Verify employee IDs and maintain complete records.
• Handle payroll queries and escalate when needed.
• Prepare and file BIR Form 1601-C monthly and 1604-C annually; remit SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions and loans.
