Fireworks, a leading AI infrastructure platform, is hiring an Employment Counsel to own employment and labor matters as we scale our team. You will partner with HR and People Operations, advise on hiring, terminations, classifications, leaves, and policy, and support cross-border employment as we expand internationally.

The role demands 9+ years’ in-house experience, a JD and US bar, startup pedigree, and a pragmatic, risk-aware mindset.

Qualificações

• 9+ years of in-house employment and labor law experience.
• JD and membership in at least one US state bar.
• Startup experience, ideally in hypergrowth.
• Strong collaboration with HR and People Operations.
• Experience supporting international expansion and cross-border labor laws.
• Familiarity with employee equity and compensation considerations.
• Experience using AI tools to streamline workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Advise on employment and labor matters across hiring, terminations, leaves, and policy.
• Partner with HR and People Operations as trusted legal advisor.
• Counsel on equity and compensation considerations.
• Build scalable employment policies and processes for a multi-state workforce.
• Support international expansion and global labor law compliance.
• Manage employment-related disputes and coordinate outside counsel where needed.
• Keep us ahead of compliance obligations during rapid headcount growth.
