Job summary

Fireworks is hiring a Product Counsel to join our founding legal team. With 9+ years of in-house or law-firm experience, you will counsel across privacy, security, compliance, and product matters, supporting security and go-to-market teams, handling customer-facing legal communications, and laying the groundwork for a scalable counseling function.

• 9+ years of relevant in-house or law firm experience.
• A JD and membership in at least one US state bar.
• Breadth across privacy, security, compliance, and product counseling.
• Comfort operating as a generalist and flexing across whatever lands on legal's desk.
• Prior experience working in a hyperscaling, fast moving environment.
• A builder's mindset suited to an early-stage, foundational role.
• Strong judgment and the ability to work independently in ambiguity.

About the role

As Product Counsel, you'll be an early, versatile member of our founding legal team, counseling across a broad range of functions as the business grows. This is a generalist role with real breadth. You'll support security, compliance, and go-to-market needs, handle customer-facing legal matters, and help lay the foundation for a larger counseling team over time. It's a role for someone who's energized by range, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited to build durable infrastructure rather than inherit it. This role initially reports to the General Counsel.
