Job summary

Optum seeks a Patient Scheduling Advocate to assist patients with scheduling and managing appointments for physicians and imaging services. You will serve as the primary contact for inquiries, ensuring accurate coordination and a top-notch patient experience in a healthcare BPO environment.

Responsibilities include handling calls, confirming details, and assisting with prep instructions, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and meeting performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Medical allied course graduate or undergraduate is required.
• At least 6 months of BPO experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills in English.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to handle sensitive patient concerns.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems.
• Willing to work night shifts and onsite in Alabang.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments for physician visits and imaging procedures such as MRI, CT Scan, Mammogram and other services.
• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally and empathetically.
• Assist patients with general inquiries, including appointment details, prep instructions, and follow-ups.
• Send messages to healthcare providers on behalf of patients as requested.
• Verify patient demographics and appointment information accurately.
• Document all interactions clearly in scheduling or healthcare systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
• Meet defined productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction metrics.
