Job summary

The Medical City Iloilo is actively seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to deliver timely, safe care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions within a fast-paced ER. This role requires quick assessment, triage, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent.
• Registered Nurse with a valid PRC license.
• ER experience is REQUIRED.
• Candidates without prior ER experience will not be considered.
• Preferably 1–2 years hands-on ER/acute care experience.
• Knowledge of triage, emergency procedures, basic and advanced life support, and patient stabilization.
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork.
• Able to remain calm, focused, and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care: Assess, monitor, and provide appropriate nursing care to patients with acute, urgent, and life-threatening conditions.
• Perform rapid assessment: Conduct initial patient assessments, monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient condition, and promptly escalate concerns.
• Assist in emergency interventions: Support physicians and the emergency team during resuscitation, emergency procedures, and other critical interventions.
• Prioritize patient needs: Assist in triage and ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care based on the urgency of their condition.
• Maintain patient safety: Follow infection control practices, medication safety protocols, emergency procedures, and other established clinical standards.
• Respond effectively under pressure: Manage multiple patients and changing priorities while maintaining quality and compassionate care.
• Ensure continuity of care: Accurately document patient care, interventions, and outcomes and provide appropriate endorsements to the next level of care.
• Work as a team: Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team.

The Opportunity

This is more than bedside nursing. As an Emergency Room Nurse at The Medical City Iloilo, you will be at the forefront of providing timely, safe, and high-quality care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions.

You will work in a fast-paced environment where quick thinking, sound clinical judgment, and hands-on emergency room experience are essential. From initial assessment and triage to emergency interventions and patient stabilization, you will play a critical role in every stage of emergency care.

This opportunity is for an experienced nurse who can stay calm under pressure, respond quickly to changing patient conditions, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary emergency care team.

What You’ll Actually Do

Who You Are

• A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
• A Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
• With relevant Emergency Room experience is REQUIRED.
• Candidates without prior Emergency Room experience will not be considered.
• Preferably with at least one to two years of hands-on experience in an Emergency Room or acute care setting.
• Knowledge and experience in triage, emergency procedures, basic and advanced life support, and patient stabilization is an advantage.
• Strong in clinical judgment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork.
• Able to remain calm, focused, and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
