About the role

MJK MEDICAL CLINIC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Nurse to join our healthcare team on a full-time basis. Based in Ermita, Manila City, Metro Manila, this role is fundamental to delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining the health and wellbeing standards within our organisation. As a Medical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support, patient care coordination, and medical services to ensure the safety and comfort of those we serve. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact whilst working within a supportive healthcare environment.

What you'll be doing

• Assessing patient health status and monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration rate

• Administering medications and injections as prescribed by medical professionals, maintaining accurate records of all treatments

• Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, catheterisation, and other clinical procedures in accordance with established protocols

• Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records and documentation to ensure continuity of care

• Communicating effectively with patients and their families to provide reassurance, health education and support

• Collaborating with doctors, healthcare professionals and support staff to develop and implement individualised patient care plans

• Adhering to infection control protocols, health and safety standards, and healthcare regulations

• Responding promptly to patient requests and concerns whilst maintaining professional standards

• Assisting with patient admission, discharge and transfer procedures

• Sterilising and maintaining medical equipment and ensuring the clinical environment is clean and organised

What we're looking for

• A valid nursing licence and registration with the relevant regulatory body in the Philippines

• Completion of a recognised nursing qualification (Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing)

• Proven experience as a nurse in a general medical and surgical setting, ideally within a hospital or healthcare facility

• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in patient assessment, medication administration and common nursing procedures

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds

• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team and take direction from senior medical staff

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple patients and maintaining accurate records

• Physical stamina and the ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing and lifting

• A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality and ethical conduct

• Current CPR and Basic Life Support certification (or willingness to obtain)
