In this role, you will take on a key responsibility in converting artwork, logos, illustrations, and customer designs into optimized embroidery stitch files using Tajima DG16. This individual combines technical digitizing expertise, embroidery production knowledge, and quality control skills to create efficient stitch plans that run smoothly on commercial embroidery machines while maintaining the highest possible visual quality.
The ideal candidate understands not only how to digitize designs, but why specific stitch types, densities, underlays, pull compensation, and sequencing decisions affect production outcomes.

Stitch Types: Expert understanding of: Satin stitches, Fill stitches, Tatami fills, Motif fills, Running stitches, Bean stitches, Zig‑zag stitches, Edge‑run stitches, Decorative stitches.
Underlay Strategy: Deep understanding of: Edge Run, Center Walk, Zig‑Zag, Double Zig‑Zag, Combination underlays; knows when each underlay type should be used based on fabric, design size, stitch type, garment stability.
Density Control: Ability to adjust density based on fabric type, balance coverage versus stitch count, and prevent thread buildup and puckering.
Pull Compensation: Expert-level understanding of fabric distortion, push and pull effects, compensation adjustments by stitch angle and material.
Sequencing & Pathing: Efficient object ordering, minimized trims and color changes, reduced machine movement, logical sew sequence construction.
Machine Understanding: Experience with commercial embroidery equipment such as Tajima, Barudan, SWF, Ricoma; understands tension management, needle selection, stabilizer selection, thread behavior, machine limitations.
Fabric Knowledge: Can digitize appropriately for cotton, polyester, fleece, performance fabrics, stretch fabrics, leather, twill, structured caps.
