Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an Engineering Technician II to support the development, verification, and release of advanced medical power supply products. You will collaborate with Electrical, Firmware, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to build, test, troubleshoot, and validate prototypes and production-representative hardware for new products and customer programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and power conversion products.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, test procedures, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, electronic loads, and other laboratory test equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies to component level.
• Knowledge of ESD practices and safe laboratory procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a cross-functional team to meet product requirements and project schedules.
• Execute Design Verification Testing (DVT) and support design validation activities.
• Support prototype builds, engineering evaluations, verification testing, and pilot production activities.
• Assist engineering teams with product characterization, debugging, and root cause investigations.
• Support engineering change implementation and validation activities.
• Document test results, discrepancies, and observations to support engineering investigations, verification, and validation activities.
• Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner and work under limited supervision.
