Job summary

Australia Farm Innovations (AFI) is hiring a skilled Electrician for our Subic Bay Freeport Zone facility. This full-time role covers installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems that support our farming technology operations.

We seek candidates with formal electrical qualifications or an apprenticeship and NCII certification, 2–3 years of industrial experience, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification or recognised apprenticeship in electrical work.
• Valid electrical license or NCII certification in electrical field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years' hands-on experience as an Electrician in industrial, agricultural, or manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment across the facility.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical installations.
• Troubleshoot faults in electrical systems and machinery.
• Minimise downtime by performing emergency repairs.
• Test systems with diagnostic tools to verify safety and function.
• Coordinate electrical work with maintenance and operations teams.
• Maintain records of maintenance and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety policies.
• Assist with installing new electrical systems during expansions.

About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team at our facility in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic job environment. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting electrical systems that support our innovative farming operations. Your work will be essential to ensuring optimal performance of our advanced agricultural equipment and facility infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment throughout the facility in compliance with safety standards and regulations

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical installations to ensure reliability and optimal performance

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in agricultural machinery, control systems, and facility infrastructure

• Perform emergency repairs to minimise downtime and ensure continuity of operations

• Test electrical systems using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment to verify functionality and safety

• Collaborate with other maintenance and operational teams to coordinate electrical work on larger projects

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies

• Support the installation of new electrical systems and equipment as part of facility expansions or upgrades

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification or recognised apprenticeship in electrical work or equivalent practical experience

• Valid electrical license or NCII certification in electrical field

• Minimum of 2-3 years' hands-on experience as an Electrician in an industrial, agricultural, or manufacturing setting

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring practices, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies

• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and circuit analysers

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in safety-critical work

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions

• Strong commitment to health and safety practices, including working knowledge of electrical safety standards

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

• Good communication skills and willingness to assist colleagues and document work thoroughly

• Experience with agricultural equipment, control systems, or irrigation technology is highly desirable
