Job summary

Aboitiz Foods is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of farm electrical systems, process controllers, and related equipment on-site. The role involves assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, ensuring compliance with safety codes.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults with test equipment, inspecting systems, and coordinating repairs across multiple farms.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electronics & Communications Engineering.
• Preferably with at least three (3) years work experience in related field.
• Working knowledge of instrumentation technology; electrical/electronics circuit design, troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on Farm electrical system, process controllers and electrical equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems, using test equipment to locate causes and correct problems.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards and compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as mega-ohmmeters, voltmeters/clamp meter tester to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.
• Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Stay on-call even during off-hours and rest days to help maintain and ensure good running condition of all electrical equipment at all times.
• Attends to electrical repairs and other requirements of other farms (Nucleus, Farm 2, Farm 3, Farm 4 & Farm 5).
• Compliance with 5'S activities & ISO 9001:200.
• Recommend and Suggest improvements KAIZEN as part of Department Quality Improvements activities.

Job Description

• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Farm electrical system, process controllers and electrical equipment ensuring the efficient running and prolonged service life of the machines and equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as mega-ohmmeters, voltmeters/clamp meter tester to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
• Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors and other equipment.

Other Task

• Safety Management.
• Monitors Farm electrical load and ensure that electrical usage does not exceed the maximum load threshold.

Equipment Safety

• Conducts routine inspection of electrical equipment in operation, checks equipment operating parameters as prescribed and initiates corrective measures on any abnormality.
• Conducts problem solving activities on causes and corrective measures for electrical electronics variances. Solicits the advice of Maintenance Leadman / Site Planner for problems that remain unsolved.

Food Safety

• Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
• Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

Other Tasks

• Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
• Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the immediate superior.

Qualifications
