Job summary

Advance Food Concepts Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machines, and production equipment in a food-manufacturing setting.

You will troubleshoot, install and test equipment, read electrical diagrams, ensure safety, participate in onboarding shifts, and collaborate with Production/Engineering teams to minimize downtime while upholding GMP and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Electrical Technology or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in electrical maintenance in food manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
• Able to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends and holidays.

About the role

This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, machines, and production equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system problems to minimize equipment downtime, conduct regular inspections of electrical components, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems, machines, and production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system problems to minimize equipment downtime
• Conduct regular inspection of electrical panels, motors, wiring, switches, sensors, and other electrical components
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, outlets, and equipment
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and electrical equipment
• Perform electrical testing and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and production equipment concerns
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment conditions
• Coordinate with the Production and Engineering/Maintenance teams regarding equipment concerns
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, GMP, food safety, and workplace standards

About you

• Graduate of Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical course (preferred)
• Experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)
• Knowledgeable in troubleshooting electrical equipment, machines, motors, and control systems
• Familiar with electrical wiring, electrical panels, relays, contactors, breakers, sensors, and basic motor controls
• Able to read and interpret basic electrical diagrams and schematics
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with a team
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule, weekends, and holidays when required
• Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on maintenance work
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical training or OJT are welcome to apply
