Job summary

Capitol Steel Corporation is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead installation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems across our steel rolling mill in Metro Manila, Philippines. The role ensures safe, reliable operation, minimizes downtime, and supports production goals.

You will oversee a maintenance team, coordinate with cross-functional departments, and uphold electrical safety standards while driving continuous improvement and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Registration as Electrical Engineer (REE) is required; Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably with supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant.
• Proven experience in leading electrical maintenance teams and managing plant electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical safety standards, electrical schematics, and industrial electrical equipment.
• Experience in project coordination, contractor supervision, and continuous improvement initiatives is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Lead and guide the electrical maintenance team, ensuring work is completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, providing technical expertise and support during equipment breakdowns.
• Monitor electrical system performance and recommend improvements to enhance plant efficiency, reliability, and energy utilization.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to ensure smooth plant operations and timely execution of maintenance and improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, company policies, and preventive maintenance standards.
• Review and maintain electrical maintenance reports, records, schematics, and other technical documentation.
• Supervise electrical installation, modification, and improvement projects, including coordination with contractors and vendors when necessary.
• Promote a strong safety culture by conducting inspections, coaching team members, and ensuring adherence to safe work practices.
