Job summary

Kerry Batangas site is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to ensure continuous supply of engineering utilities and equipment availability for production. You will lead condition-based and preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs to meet KPIs, while supporting energy and water conservation initiatives.

The role requires strong competencies in instrumentation, electrical systems, PLCs, and CMMS/SAP usage, with 5+ years in a similar position and a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/ College Degree, Technology, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic) or Equivalent Professional License(Passed Board/ Professional Licensure Exam)

Responsibilities

• Ensures normal and continuous supply of engineering utilities and availability of equipment and facilities to support production needs
• Ensures condition-based, corrective, and preventive maintenance of equipment, utilities, facilities and auxiliaries are carried out to prevent breakdowns.
• Implements the preventive maintenance according to correct procedures, frequency, and quality to ensure its effectiveness and efficient delivery meet the KPIs.
• Supports the plant’s energy and water conservation program in line with the plant’s sustainability KPI
• Resolves and troubleshoot production downtime, and equipment and utility failure. Develop a plan and timeline to eliminate emergency repair work
• Ensures that the spare parts inventory and maintenance library is secure, updated and well kept.
• Makes sure all plant equipment maintenance records are accurate and up to date
• Helps ensure the reliability, functionality and on time calibration, repair, programming of process equipment and process utilities.
• Helps in overseeing all contractors under engineering control.
• Perform other tasks and special assignments as requested by the Engineering and Maintenance Manager and Supervisor

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s/ College Degree, Technology, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic) or Equivalent Professional License(Passed Board/ Professional Licensure Exam)

Technical Skills

• Instrumentation and Control Systems Competency
• Proficient in process instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters)
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC systems, and ability to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Experience in I/O checking, signal tracing, and fault isolation Familiarity with automation networks (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)

Electrical Systems Competency

• Strong knowledge industrial electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring diagrams
• Hands-on experience in motor control systems
• Skilled in troubleshooting electrical faults

Competency

• Good foundation in HVAC, WWTP, Water Treatment, Boilers, Compressors, Power Systems
• Knowledgeable in Maintenance best practices and CMMS/SAP systems to assist in delivering same.
• 5+ years experience in a similar role
• CAD and programming skills are a plus
• Demonstrates strong commitment to workplace safety and food safety culture
• Takes full responsibility for assigned tasks
• Demonstrates respect and cooperation with teammates
• Good communication skills for coordination with production, engineering, and QA teams
