Job summary

Power Design Resources is seeking an Associate Estimator to support timely bids and provide accurate electrical estimates for multifamily and commercial projects. You will work within the Change Order department, leading a regionally-aligned estimating team and coordinating with customers to define project scope and negotiate pricing.

The role requires 1+ years in electrical estimating, a degree in construction management or engineering (or equivalent field experience), and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred or 3–4 years electrical field experience.
• 1+ years of relevant electrical estimating experience.
• Motivated problem solver focused on customer service.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Excellent communicator, organized, detail-oriented and efficient.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train and provide direction to a regionally-aligned estimating team.
• Research to produce accurate, complete and competitive pricing.
• Count lighting fixtures, mechanical equipment and plumbing fixtures from plans and blueprints.
• Coordinate project scope with customers and team members; address deficiencies and negotiate pricing.
• Partner with construction teams to transfer awarded projects.
