Job summary

Power Design Resources is seeking an Associate Estimator to support timely and accurate electrical, mechanical, or plumbing estimates for multifamily and commercial projects within our Change Order department. You will help drive pricing strategy, review plans, and coordinate with customers and construction teams.

The role requires strong organization, communication skills, and experience with estimating software (Accubid preferred) in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field or 3-4 years of electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing field experience.
• 1+ years of relevant electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing estimating experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred).
• Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work with a regionally-aligned estimating team, providing leadership, direction and training.
• Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete and competitive pricing.
• Conduct lighting fixture counts by reviewing construction plans and blueprints.
• Conduct mechanical equipment and terminal device counts by reviewing construction plans and blueprints
• Conduct plumbing fixture counts by reviewing construction plans and blueprints
• Communicate with customers to properly define the project scope, address deficiencies and negotiate pricing.
• Partner with our construction teams to properly transfer awarded projects.
