Job summary

China Energy Engineering Group Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Co., Ltd. (Singapore Branch) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead or support renewable energy projects, with emphasis on electrical design, coordination and field delivery across the region.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, 1–3 years (Junior) or 5–8 years (Senior), and are proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP and Dialux or equivalents. Fluent English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years for Junior; Minimum 5-8 years for Senior.
• Proficient in electrical design tools (AutoCAD/ETAP/Dialux).
• Registered Electrical Engineer Certificate (Junior) or Professional Electrical Engineer (Senior).
• Fluent in English; Mandarin preferred for regional liaison.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with electrical consultants and internal teams to develop and review electrical system designs.
• Design and review electrical systems including power distribution, protection systems, cabling, and grounding.
• Support and/or oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with design specifications and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and standards (EMA, SS, safety).
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities for smooth project delivery.
• Attend project meetings and site visits, providing technical input and resolving engineering issues.
• Prepare and review technical documentation such as single-line diagrams, load calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Promote and ensure adherence to safety standards across all project phases.

Electrical Engineer (Renewable Energy Projects)

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support and/or lead the electrical engineering aspects of renewable energy and energy storage projects. Depending on experience, the successful candidate will be hired at either Junior or Senior level. This role involves the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting the successful delivery of projects. You will be part of a growing team working on impactful sustainability projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

Liaise with electrical consultants and internal teams to develop and review electrical system designs

About you

Basic knowledge of electrical systems and local regulations/standards

Obtain a Registered Electrical Engineer Certificate (Junior) or Professional Electrical Engineer (Senior)

Proficient in electrical design tools/software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, Dialux or equivalent)

Familiarity with power systems, protection schemes, and commissioning processes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and teamwork abilities

Fluent in English; Mandarin is preferred to liaise with regional stakeholders

Willingness to travel overseas (including China and regional project sites)
