Job summary

GFL Metro Communities Inc. is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to plan, evaluate and supervise daily electrical activities at the project site, reporting to the Immediate Supervisor and Project Manager.

You will provide on-site electrical design support, prepare RFIs and approvals, inspect works before other trades, coordinate with other disciplines, participate in meetings with consultants and suppliers, and ensure sign-and-seal of essential documents as licensed by the PRC.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate and supervise the daily activities of the construction project for all electrical works, reporting directly to the Immediate Supervisor
• Ensure that the scheduled work activity will be completed on time and submits progress reports to Project Manager
• Provide design on all Electrical engineering matters that may be required on site.
• Prepares documentation on Request for Information and Approval to Consultants, Site Instructions and Inspection Reports
• Provide inspections of works prior to implementation of works by other Trades
• Coordinates with other trade discipline prior to the implementation of the worksProvide drawings, when necessary, prior to the implementation of the works required.
• Attends Consultant and Sub-Contractors weekly meetingAttends Suppliers/ Vendors meeting when necessary
• A licensed Electrical Engineer hired by the company must secure an updated PRC license for sign and sealed documentation purposes
• Review as-built drawing after each layout/ plan done.
• Sign and seal of documents
