Job summary

Avistar Manufacturing seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and develop circuits for lighting products in Laguna. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs with product specs and validate performance through simulations and testing.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, plus experience with LED strip design and PCB layout. You will contribute to documentation, support manufacturing, and stay aligned with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Strong preference for experience in flexible LED strip design.
• Basic knowledge of statistics and its application to product design.
• Ability to communicate clearly on highly technical subjects.
• Proficient in circuit design, calculation, analysis and simulation.
• Experience with industry-standard design software and tools.
• Proficient in PCBA layout.
• Solid understanding of UL standards and certification processes.
• Working familiarity with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers and product managers, to integrate electrical designs with overall product specifications.
• Conduct simulations and analyses to validate design performance and reliability.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test plans.
• Provide technical support during the manufacturing process and assist in resolving production issues.
• Oversee prototype and finished good testing and troubleshooting to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Validate proper function, projected life, and quality of products through effective testing methods.
• Create accurate schematics, PCBA layouts, and detailed drawings of designs for communication to customers, Avistar manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Coordinate with project team to ensure on-time project completion.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations to inform design decisions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar required.
• Proven experience in flexible LED strip design and related applications is strongly preferred.
