Position Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Electrical Draftsman to join our team. This role is vital in producing accurate and compliant electrical drawings and schematics that support smooth project execution. The ideal candidate is proficient in AutoCAD Electrical software, experienced in creating detailed electrical layouts, and committed to delivering high-quality drafting services that meet Australian industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical, including wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, single-line diagrams, and circuit schematics.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and onsite teams to understand project requirements and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Update and maintain existing electrical drawings and documentation for ongoing projects.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant Australian electrical standards and company drafting guidelines.
• Prepare bills of materials and wiring schedules as needed.
• Identify and resolve drafting issues in coordination with project stakeholders.
• Manage drawing revisions and document control to meet project timelines.
• Support engineering and project teams by providing timely, precise drafting outputs.
• Oversee the organization and management of project documentation, ensuring proper categorization, storage, and version control.
• Coordinate the distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of document revisions and approvals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Draftsman with strong proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles and drafting standards, preferably aligned with Australian regulations.
• Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system layouts.
• Familiarity with Australian electrical codes and symbols (or ability to quickly learn them).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with remote teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant technical or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline preferred.
