Job summary

Blue Star is seeking an EHS Executive for its Ahmedabad Manufacturing Plant. The role focuses on statutory compliance under the Factories Act and safety program implementation across the shop floor.

You will conduct risk assessments, oversee PTW systems, lead safety trainings, and coordinate audits with DISH, ensuring timely improvements and robust occupational health practices for permanent and contract staff.

Qualifications

• Education: BE / Diploma (10+2) in Mechanical/Production/Electrical/Chemical
• Experience: 3–6 years in a manufacturing/heavy engineering environment
• Knowledge: Factories Act and OSHA/ISO 45001 standards
• Soft skills: strong analytical mindset, firm yet diplomatic compliance, good communication in local language and English

Responsibilities

• Statutory Compliance & Reporting: ensure full compliance with the Factories Act and state rules; maintain safety records and documentation.
• Risk Management & Operational Safety: conduct HIRA and JSA; manage PTW systems (Hot Work, Height, Confined Space, LOTO).
• Training & Culture Building: develop safety training calendar; conduct induction and specialized trainings; organize mock drills.
• Emergency Preparedness & Occupational Health: maintain firefighting systems, PPE inventory, health monitoring.
