As an Editorial Assistant, you will:

  • Provide editorial and administrative support throughout the publishing lifecycle across multiple content formats and subject areas.
  • Assist with project setup, including maintaining product and content information within publishing systems and supporting project tracking activities.
  • Process, review, edit, and maintain content, metadata, and project records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the management of author and contributor contracts, including issuing contracts, maintaining records, and responding to routine queries.
  • Act as a key point of contact for authors, editors, reviewers, and contributors, providing guidance and resolving routine queries.
  • Assist in preparing manuscripts and supporting materials for handover to Production, ensuring all content is publication-ready.
  • Track content, payments, permissions, and project milestones to support efficient project delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Editorial, Production, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Royalties, and other business functions to ensure smooth publishing operations.
  • Support departmental administration and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as required.

By providing high-quality editorial and operational support, you will help bring scholarly content to market efficiently, maintain strong relationships with authors and contributors, and enable seamless collaboration across multiple teams. About You
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent proofreading and research capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including word-processing and spreadsheet tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and receptive to feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual and collaborative environment.
  • Previous experience in academic publishing, editorial support, content development, or project administration.
  • Experience working with content management, publishing, or workflow management systems.
  • Understanding of scholarly publishing processes and author engagement.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders in a deadline-driven environment.
