Smart Outsourcing Solution is seeking an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team supporting Australian public practice clients. You will manage accounting and tax compliance work independently, align with the Australian-based team, and deliver accurate financial statements and tax returns.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
• Strong experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns.
• Practical experience preparing BAS, IAS and FBT returns.
• Ideally a good understanding of Australian accounting and taxation requirements.
• Experience with Australian accounting and tax software (Xero, XPM, FYI, BGL) would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements and working papers for individuals and entities.
• Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS.
• Assist with FBT returns.
• Complete general ledger reviews, reconciliations and year-end adjustments.
• Identify accounting or taxation issues and raise queries with the manager.
