Job Description
The Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating company vehicles to transport personnel, equipment, and materials to and from various destinations.
Responsibilities
- Driving and Transportation
- Operate company vehicles (cars, vans, trucks, etc.) safely and efficiently.
- Plan and execute routes, ensuring timely and accurate transportation.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Inspect vehicle before and after each trip, ensuring it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate driving logs and records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding schedules and any potential delays.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized driving record.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or safety concerns promptly.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance and cleaning as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of professional driving experience preferred. Experience driving [Specific vehicle types, e.g., passenger vans, trucks] preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required depending on the vehicle type.
- Excellent driving record with minimal traffic violations.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to read maps and navigate effectively.
- Defensive driving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
