Job Description
A driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers, goods, or materials to and from specified locations. They ensure that vehicles are maintained, safe, and in good working order while adhering to traffic laws and organizational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle (car, truck, or other vehicles as required) to transport passengers or goods.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes while adhering to schedules.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, including oil, tires, and fuel levels.
- Ensure the cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and cargo during transportation.
- Maintain a logbook of trips, vehicle maintenance, and fuel usage.
- Comply with all local traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
Experience: Previous driving experience (specific experience with delivery, passenger transport, or similar roles may be preferred).
Licensing: A valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven. In some cases, a commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required.

- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety procedures.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods and drive for extended distances.
- Ability to load/unload goods if required.
- Good physical condition and ability to handle vehicle maintenance tasks.
Other Requirements
- A clean driving record (no major violations or accidents).
- Background checks may be required.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance is an asset.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
