Job summary

Marygracecafe is seeking a Dock Controller to coordinate and monitor the flow of goods through our loading docks. You will ensure items are received, dispatched, and documented accurately while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will work with drivers, porters, and warehouse teams, manage dock schedules, verify paperwork, and uphold safety protocols. This role is based at our head office in Parañaque and involves a 6-day work week with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with 1–2 years in logistics or dock operations.
• Able to perform physical tasks and on-site issue resolution.
• Willing to work 6 days on rotating shifts at head office.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with safety focus.

Job description

The Dock Controller is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the flow of goods through the loading
and unloading docks. This role ensures that all delivery items are accurately received, dispatched, and
documented, while maintaining safety, orderliness, and efficiency in dock operations.

Responsibilities

Oversees inbound and outbound shipments by coordinating directly with drivers, porters, and warehouse teams to ensure proper verification, tagging, and timely loading/unloading.

Manages dock appointment schedules and communicates slot availability with carriers and dispatchers to optimize traffic flow and prevent delays.

Audits shipping and receiving paperwork for accuracy, logs dock timestamps and incidents, and submits daily activity reports.

Enforces dock traffic rules and safety protocols while ensuring immediate reporting of any accidents, damage, or hazards.

Maintains a clean, well-organized loading dock environment free from hazards and obstructions.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school graduate with 1-2 years in logistics, warehouse operations, or dock procedures, including basic computer skills (WMS knowledge preferred).
• Able to handle physical tasks (frequent lifting/bending/standing) and willing to conduct occasional field checks, route audits, and on-site issue resolution.
• Open to a 6-day work week on shifting schedules, based at the Head Office in San Martin de Porres, Parañaque City.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills under pressure, with a focus on safety practices.
