  • Optimize performance across key exhibition circuits, including Cinépolis, Cinemex, and independent theaters, by securing strong national coverage across CDMX, major urban centers, and regional markets while maintaining a balanced footprint between premium and mass‑market locations.
  • Leverage local insights such as seasonality, competitive congestion, and local title performance.
Exhibitor Negotiation & Relationship Management
  • Lead negotiations with major exhibitors and independent theaters across Mexico to secure optimal screen counts, showtimes, and premium format placement while effectively navigating local booking dynamics, including early‑week programming constraints and late schedule confirmations.
  • Maintain strong, senior‑level relationships with Cinépolis, Cinemex, and regional circuits.
  • Act as the primary commercial interface between the studio and exhibitors.
Release Execution & In‑Season Optimization
  • Oversee end‑to‑end release execution, including opening strategies (Thursday launches, previews, and early shows) and performance‑based adjustments to optimize holdover versus drop decisions.
  • Manage week‑to‑week playability by monitoring mid‑week attendance volatility and assessing the impact of external factors, including weather conditions, public events, and football‑related activity.
  • Ensure films are optimally positioned across premium formats (IMAX, PLF, 4DX, and ScreenX, where applicable) and key playtimes, including prime evening shows, concentrated weekend programming, and holdover matinees to maximize film longevity.
Forecasting, Analysis & Reporting
  • Build accurate box office forecasts for Mexico, including opening weekend projections and week‑by‑week performance trajectories to estimate lifetime gross potential.
  • Monitor daily performance indicators, including admissions, occupancy, screen averages, and ATP trends, to evaluate box office performance and inform distribution decisions.
  • Deliver concise executive‑ready recaps with congruent and remarkable storytelling with clear insights and action points.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
  • Track and analyze the performance of local Mexican productions, Hollywood tentpoles, and regional competitive releases to inform distribution and exhibition strategies.
  • Identify counterprogramming opportunities and optimize release dating strategies to maximize film performance within a highly competitive theatrical calendar.
  • Provide actionable guidance to regional/global teams on Mexico‑specific risks and opportunities.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with Marketing, BI, and regional teams to ensure sales strategy aligns with campaign weight and audience targeting.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure the timely delivery of content (DCPs/KDMs) and the seamless execution of screenings, previews, and exhibitor events.
  • Line up with Finance to ensure equivalence of our and exhibitors reported figures.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the voice of Mexico in regional and global calls.
  • Prepare weekly performance summaries and pre‑release strategy presentations, incorporating forecasts and key insights to support distribution planning and decision‑making.
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly and effectively to studio leadership, regional LATAM distribution teams, and external stakeholders when required.
Experience
  • 5+ years in theatrical distribution, exhibition, or film sales.
  • Strong experience working within or with the Mexican exhibition ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to manage wide releases and complex slates.
