Job summary

Dispatchers play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient food delivery operations. They are responsible for receiving and dispatching food delivery orders to drivers while maintaining clear communication with customers and restaurant partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming customer orders via phone, app, or website and accurately record order details.
• Taking orders over the phone from customers and placing food orders with restaurants
• Prioritize orders during peak hours to optimize delivery times and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor delivery drivers' progress and provide real-time updates to customers regarding their order status.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain a detailed record of order information, driver assignments, and delivery times.
• Collaborate with restaurant partners to ensure timely preparation of food orders and smooth handover to drivers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, delivery procedures, and safety regulations.
• Provide guidance and support to delivery drivers regarding navigation, order details, and special instructions.
• Assist in training new dispatchers and continuously improve dispatching processes.
• Report technical issues or system malfunctions to the technical support team for prompt resolution.
• Work closely with other team members to maintain a positive and cooperative work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in dispatching, call center operations, or customer service is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and dispatching software.
• Familiarity with geographic navigation tools and map applications. (Google Maps)
• Customer-focused attitude and the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Working hours may be assigned as needed.
