Job summary

iQor is seeking a detail-oriented Disaster Recovery Specialist to lead and support DR planning, testing, automation, governance, and reporting. The role strengthens resilience, validates recovery, and reduces manual work during DR and cyber incidents across infrastructure, apps, risk, and security teams.

The specialist will coordinate with cross-functional teams and drive standardized DR processes, with after-hours support for incidents and outages as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, operational resilience, or IT operations.
• Experience planning or leading DR tests and coordinating cross-functional participation.
• Working knowledge of DR lifecycle activities (risk identification, plan development, recovery validation, issue management) and core concepts (RTO, RPO, recovery tiers, sequencing).
• Experience with cloud-based DR solutions and knowledge of Microsoft Azure recovery concepts.
• Exposure to cybersecurity, cyber recovery planning, and isolated recovery environments.
• Experience with ServiceNow (CMDB, incident, change records) and DR orchestration/automation platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to operate during time-sensitive recovery events.

Responsibilities

• Testing and Execution: Lead and coordinate enterprise disaster recovery tests and maintain the DR calendar.
• Validation and Compliance: Validate DR plans, CMDB accuracy, and escalation paths.
• Automation and Workflow: Standardize and automate DR workflows; partner with automation engineers.
• Cyber Recovery and Resilience: Support ransomware and cyber recovery planning with Cybersecurity teams.
• Reporting and Analysis: Monitor recovery status and develop DR dashboards; report risks.
• Incident Response: Provide after-hours coverage during real incidents and outages.
